Dear NAAAP-KC,
It has been a blessing to serve as the NAAAP-KC President. In 2019 when I accepted this position I didn't realize I would learn so much or feel so loved by such an amazing group of professionals and friends. I also experienced professional growth. An example was the program, 5 voices, which made the greatest impact on me realizing my leadership style and how to engage with the leadership of others. Our social networking hours are such fun and a time where we can share ideas, challenges and celebrate our community together. I'm so grateful for the fantastic board I have served with: Ailisi Bogden, Secretary, Mary Busche, Vice President of Strategic Development, Ashok Meka, Vice President of Operations, David Moore, Director of Marketing and Communications, Kimberly Carlson, Director of Social and Cultural Awareness, Shah Mumin, Director of Membership, Amy Sanchez, Program Director, Hao Quach, Director of NAAAP PRIDE, Lei Han, Director of Women In NAAAP , Krit Sarai, Director of Young Professionals. Along with others throughout the years. I also value the Advisory Board who have made themselves available to help guide us: Sharon Chen, Steve Chu, Michael Gonzales, Dr. Andrea Hendrix, Hoang-Anh Tran.
In 2025 I will welcome Hao Quach as the new NAAAP-KC President. Hao has been actively engaged serving on the NAAAP KC Board since 2022. He became active with the ARTSKC residency and joined the board as the Director of NAAAP Pride. He has brought focus to PRIDE programming, as well as lead the first ever collaboration with NASCAR. Hao is passionate about serving as a mentor to students, he is on the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Board. I will continue to serve on the NAAAP-KC Board, as Past-President.
In 2025 the National Association of Asian American Professionals Leadership Convention will be hosted in Kansas City!! I will be the Executive Producer working with the Convention team. We are collaborating with National, other Chapters and NAAAP KC members. We are in competition with the Convention we hosted in 2019 and believe me this 2025 team is on FIRE!! You can find out more about the Leadership Convention at this link Space Makers. If you would like to volunteer and be part of this amazing event, please feel free to contact me.
Thank You to each and everyone that has made my volunteering as NAAAP-KC President memorable. I'm forever grateful.
