Luz P. Conde, BSN, RN, CCRN

Luz has provided patient care with kindness and empathy to countless patients and families throughout her career. She has also mentored hundreds of other nurses by combining her clinical expertise with a wonderful calm, kind demeanor. Luz’s fingerprint has been left on the next generation of nurses through her work with Nurse Academy. Luz has impacted the profession of nursing through her work with the area Filipino Nurses Association. The KC community has been fortunate to have such a wonderful caring nurse serving for years. 

 

Babette Orlich, BSN graduated in 1976 from the University of Santo Tomas Manila Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  Was a Nurse Clinical Instructor in the Philippines before coming to the United States on August 1978 as a contracted worker.

 

Worked at Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine for 6 years as Orthopedic Nurse one year then Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and transport Nurse for 6 years.  Moved to the Northland and married  John Orlich Jr going on 40 years now  2 grown children , worked  at North Kansas City Hospital as Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for 36 years.  Recognized by ingrams, a Kansas City Magazine, as a “Hero in Healthcare.”   Twice nominated for Nurse of the Year in Neonatology, 2013 and 2018. Now enjoying retirement since March 2020.  A member of the Philippine Nurses Association of Greater Kansas City in many capacities, treasurer and vice president now president of the association 2020-2022.

 

 

Leila Z. Busch, MSN, RN, CEN (Retired, 2020) Leila is a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Nursing, Pre-operative and Post Anesthesia, Neonatal, Pulmonary, Critical Care nursing and management skills as a Nursing House Supervisor, Leila has served the community with great caring.  She is the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. (PNAA) Regional Vice President.
