Serve with Harvesters for Global Youth Service Day
Event Description:
Community service has always been a part of NAAAP-KC's activities. Come join us in our first community service event of the year on April 13, 2019. We will be volunteering as a group (minimum of 20 people needed) to serve with Harvesters - The Community Food Network.
April 13 is also Global Youth Service Day. Youth in over 100 countries will be organizing and participating in service projects that weekend. We encourage you to bring your friends and family (8 years old or older) to participate.

The following are important things you need to know about volunteering in our warehouse:
- Children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the warehouse for safety reasons.
- Closed toed shoes are required.
- Dress casually (jeans and t-shirts, and sweatshirts to layer in the winter)
- Please leave all valuable jewelry at home. This includes rings which may come off in the packing process.
- No food, gum, or drinks are permitted in the warehouse.
- Cell phone usage is not permitted in the warehouse.
- All volunteers must be free of contagious illness (runny nose, colds, the flu, strep throat, etc)
Please consider bringing donations with you when you volunteer.Our April needs of the month are deodorant, toilet paper, laundry detergent, soap (bath & hand), feminine hygiene items, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
