US Census 2020
Come join us for a presentation on everything you need to know for the upcoming 2020 Census—like what it is, why it matters to the Asian-American Pacific Islander community and how to get Census jobs ($13-30/hr). Following the presentation there will be a panel discussion with Emmett Morris (Partnerships Coordinator for MO, Census Bureau), Caroline Fan (Founder, EARLY) and two leaders in the KC AAPI community.
The Census is critical to ensuring that Kansas City and the AAPI community receives adequate funding for roads, bridges, and hospitals. Undercounting results in AAPIs being denied a full voice in policy decision-making and federal funding allocated to states and localities where AAPIs live.
