Sheng Wang is a comedian, actor and writer originally from Houston, TX. His first Netflix special, Sweet & Juicy, released in September 2022 and was produced and directed by Ali Wong. He was a featured stand-up on HBO’s “2 Dope Queens” special and also wrote for the ABC show “Fresh Off the Boat.” Sheng resides in Los Angeles and in his time off, he enjoys exploring botanical gardens and discovering new ways to snack.

Pride Parade: Collaboration between NAAAP-KC and Hella Good Deeds
This year, we will be walking alongside our friends at Hella Good Deeds. I have been in planning talks with them since late March, and am so looking forward to everyone being able to see what we've come up with! Our entry will also include a performance from Ethereal, a KC-based K-pop dance team!

Join us for an evening with Philanthropist and Entrepreneur, Benny Lee! Benny Lee has long championed Asian American professionals in Kansas City. As retired CEO of DuraComm and a dedicated community leader, he’s been recognized for his work supporting minority-owned businesses and fostering inclusive spaces.
We’re honored to gather in his home for an evening of music, connection and community.

Benny Lee, clarinet: From Taiwan to Kansas City, Benny Lee’s journey is one of resilience, innovation, and impact. An engineer-turned-entrepreneur, Benny founded and sold multiple successful companies—including DuraComm and Top Innovations—leaving a mark on industries from power supply to home appliances. A dedicated philanthropist and clarinetist, he’s served on numerous boards and helped launch Park University’s world-renowned International Center for Music.
