We will also talk about Entrepreneurial Development, Access to Small Business Funding, Government Contracting, Surety Bonding, Small Business Certifications, and Disaster Recovery.  

About Ram Basnet

Mr. Ram Basnet joined the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Kansas City District Office (KCDO) in April of 2018. Mr. Basnet has served in various roles within KCDO; Economic Development Specialist, Public Information Officer, SBDC Project Officer for MO SBDC Network, and Branch Manager at the Springfield Branch Office. He was selected to serve as the Deputy District Director in December of 2021.

Previously, Mr. Basnet worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Cerner Corporation. Prior to Cerner, Mr. Basnet served in the United States Army. Mr. Basnet also worked as a Business Risk Consultant at Deloitte & Touch LLP in New York. While at Deloitte, Basnet advised several large national banks on enterprise risk management.

Mr. Basnet has received dual bachelor’s degrees (Economics and Business Management) from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He also has an MBA in Finance from Missouri State University. He is trilingual and is originally from Nepal.
